That’s how I describe the recent updates in applications.
First, OpenOffice 2.3 has been released. Quietly, I might add. There are several new features, and many bug fixes as well.
Yahoo has bought Zimbra, the collaboration software.
Google has added presentations to its now full office suite.
IBM has made its own version of OpenOffice, with a nice new theme, and will contribute code back to OpenOffice. Hooray!
That’s a lot of stuff that happened, and only in the past few days.
