Now that I have a forum set up, I have gone ahead and started asking people where they want to place boxes. The trouble is that nobody seems to know a good place to start. The best places to start would be computer-friendly places. Below is my list of the top five places to put the boxes, in order from easiest to hardest:
1. Borders (duuhh…)
2. Barnes and Noble (like Borders, only a little harder)
3. Starbucks (may be passionate about Macs…)
4. Fry’s (open to many things, including Linux)
5. Monarch Computer (geek heaven! also distribute Red Hat, next to Windows)
These are my first choices, because they are where more tech-savvy people meet. There is a much better chance of getting started here, than anywhere else. As for the rest of the population, I have mailbox leaflets in the works, that will be easy enough to drop in mailboxes, and catch the eye of those who know their way around their computers.
