After thinking about mobile devices running Linux… I had an idea:
I have talked about Amazon’s MP3 downloader available for Ubuntu in the past. Ubuntu Mobile runs and installs applications using the familiar .debs available. The question is…
Could Amazon’s MP3 downloader work on Ubuntu Mobile?
You could access the music store wirelessly and download songs directly to your device. Now sure, you can already do that via Firefox, but to download albums, keep a record of the songs purchased, etc., it could really be helpful, and cool. Imagine hanging around with friends using iPod Touches or iPhones… and you pull out your Ubuntu Mobile MID, and start downloaded tunes, just like them. The only difference, you can get to Amazon’s music store, and you’re running Ubuntu. How cool would that be!?
I’ll have to test it out someday…
